Vestry Liaison:

Threshold Project—Gail Hill and Susan Doswell

The Threshold Project is an effort to become a sufficiently welcoming and well-known community that more of the people in and around Camarillo cross our threshold and find St. Columba’s to be a church they want to become a part of.

Recently our efforts have focused mostly on ways we can more effectively raise awareness of ourselves in this area – our booth at the Fiesta, expanded advertising (beyond the Acorn and the Star) of services and events that might be of interest, and ever increasing efforts by more and more members of the congregation to distribute fliers prior to the barbecue as well as just before Christmas and Easter.

Camarillo Fiesta Booth

One of the ways we let the community know about our parish is by having a booth at the annual Camarillo Fiesta. We distribute water and information to the community during this event typically held in July. We always need people to spend two hour shifts in the booth or help set it up or take it down.
